 My husband Bryan and I have a wonderful little boy named Nathan.  Even though I dabbled in cake decorating when I was younger, it wasn't until 2005 that I dove head first into the world of sugar art.  I have taken numerous classes, including studying cake design at AB Tech and I am still studying.  I have recently taken classes with Sharon Zambito, Nicholas Lodge, Marina Sousa and Mike McCarey and inspired by the work of Toba Garrett, Debbie Brown, Colette Peters and many more.  I am a current member of ICES (International Cake Exploration Societe).

 

I majored in Commercial Art/Visual Communications at Bauder College and The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.  My passion is drawing, painting and sculpting, so that is why I love making sculpted cakes and turning them into edible works of art.  Cakes are my canvas.  If you have any idea for a cake, please let me know.  I love making cake not look like a cake, that is when I am my most creative!

This was the first time I have ever "special ordered" a cake before, and the staff at Whimsical Edibles made the entire process easier than I could have imagined.  The design of the cake was flawless and it was by far one of the most delicious cakes we have ever had!  Thank you Whimsical Edibles and we will be back again.
